How to use this website:

When you visit the website, wait a bit for the script to load, then choose the object you want to orbit around before entering the position and velocity values for the object in the input fields above. For the positions, please note that they are relative to the body's center. Then click "Calculate Orbit" to see the results at the bottom of the page.

How to read the results:

Eccentricity: A measure of how much the orbit deviates from a perfect circle. An eccentricity of 0 indicates a circular orbit, while values closer to 1 indicate more elongated orbits.

Orbital Inclination: The angle between the orbital plane and the equatorial plane of the orbited body. It indicates how tilted the orbit is relative to the body's equator. An inclination less than 90° indicates a prograde orbit (same direction as the body's rotation), while an inclination greater than 90° indicates a retrograde orbit (opposite direction to the body's rotation). Inclinations of 90° indicate a polar orbit.

Line of Apsides: The line connecting the closest and farthest points of the orbit (perigee and apogee). It represents the orientation of the orbit's longest axis in space.

Apogee: The maximum distance from the orbited body's center.

Perigee: The minimum distance from the orbited body's center.
